Everyone in the world has a dream in life that they want to accomplish. It does not matter, whether it is as simple as buying a new home or extravagant as traveling the world. Yet not everybody in the world can say they were able to fulfill their dreams. Donnie Brown Jr. is one person who has fulfilled his dreams and more. Mr. Brown is a stage, film, and television actor from Richmond Virginia.
Since pursuing acting full time, he has studied TV/Film at the Anne Chapman Studio under the direction of Elizabeth Byland, and Theatre at the HATTheatre and Cadence Theatres. Great stock and good company indeed in the fact that The HATTheatre has produced quality premiers in Richmond since its inception and the Cadence Theatre prides itself on inspiring and transforming the community by presenting contemporary theatrical works that are enriching to the spirit, challenges the mind, and respects both their individuality and shared humanity.
Donnie Brown Jr. has put in the hard work and training, and as such, it has paid huge dividends in his career. Coupled with his talent and humility, he has had the opportunity to work on major productions of SWAGGER and, on the Good Lord Bird. More recently he has played the role of David in the feature film, “The Light Between Us and Thor in the short film “Is Anybody Listening.” Mr. Brown has also been cast as James in the short film “One Nation Under God.” If you are familiar with the feature film, “The Exit Row,’ the character “Duke Lawson,’ was played by Mr. Donnie Brown Jr.
Donnie Brown Jr's. advice to achieving your goals and dreams is to always invest in yourself and believe in your dreams, even if you feel like you are the only one who does. He also advises to thank God for it all! As you can see, Mr. Brown is a man on a mission and is excited about his work. He is staying busy with a few upcoming projects that he is working on to include, a featured film, short film, and a mini-series to boot.
